Eligibility

""Bereaved families" of "victims" of the October 29 Itaewon Disaster
(Article 2(3)(a) of the Act)

Persons recognized by the October 29 Itaewon Disaster Victim Relief Deliberation Committee as having suffered harm
(Article 2(3)(b) of the Act)

How to Submit

Submit the application In person, by mail, by fax or through other written means.

Foreign Nationals

If the applicant has no registered address, the application may be submitted to the mayor, county governor or
district head with jurisdiction over the location of the relevant embassy, or to the Support Group

Required Documents

    Livelihood Support Payment Application Form (Form 1), applicant's identification and a copy of the recipient’s bankbook (bank account details)

  2. 02

    Certificate or Extract of Resident Registration (if the applicant does not consent to administrative information sharing)

    - For foreign nationals: Documents confirming the number of household members, such as a certificate of alien registration

  3. 03

    Application for Recognition of Household Members Eligible for Livelihood Support Payment (Form 2) and supporting documents (where recognition of household members by decision of the Victim Relief Deliberation Committee is required)

  4. 04

    Decision on recognition as a victim (if required)

  5. 05

    Additional Documents (if applicable)

    - If the applicant is a bereaved family member: Certificate of Family Relations

    - If the recipient or victim is a minor: Detailed Certificate of Basic Records or documentation confirming that the minor is being supported by the applicant
